Hello,
I’m Matt
I am a UX designer passionate about the intersection of human interaction and storytelling. I craft experiences that improve people’s everyday lives while being both joyful and beautiful to use.
I enjoy using my problem-solving skills to enhance usability and aesthetics, and I believe in the transformative power of good design. I transitioned to UX after completing the Google UX Design Certificate course, which equipped me with a strong foundation in visual and interaction design. I have spent five years leading web design and presentation deck projects for film and television at Nat+Matt Co, a creative studio I co-founded with my wife Natalie in 2019. At Nat+Matt Co, I worked with clients across various industries to create websites, brand identities, pitch decks, and product photography along with brand consulting. I produce designs that make a meaningful impact on how specific audiences interact with them.
Before my design career, I spent ten years in the film and television industry as a lighting technician. I earned a bachelor’s degree in communications concentrating in film and media arts from Temple University and worked on projects for Netflix, Hulu, Lionsgate, PopTv, ABC, Lifetime, among others. Leading a lighting crew and collaborating with cross-functional teams, I helped bring directors' and producers' visions to life.
I live in Savannah, GA, with my wife Natalie. When I’m not designing, I enjoy the art of making espresso drinks, exploring my historic town, and reading about watches and golf course architecture.
